Grange Valley Remembers 2022

We remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those who have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.

FRIDAY 11TH NOVEMBER 2022

Our Year 5 led the remembrance with a whole school assembly with parents and carers. The children discussed the importance of remembrance day and how everyone should always try to remember the events from the past and current. The children explained about the significance that the poppy holds around remembrance day and the meaning of each part of it.

A very special part of the assembly was when the children shared information about local soldiers involved in the wars and got to tell their story and what happened to them.

We held a silence and used songs to take time to think and reflect on all those who have lost their lives.
