Welcome to STRIDE - Opening September 2022
Our resource provision for Autistic children is situated across both of our partnership schools, Grange Valley & Wargrave C of E Primary Schools.
There are specialised classrooms, sensory spaces and secure playgrounds leading to green spaces. Children who are assigned a place through their EHCP have complete access to the main school facilities. Both units are appropriate educational setting for ten primary aged children from year 1 to year 6, who experience difficulties in social communication, language and accessing the curriculum due to a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (Previously ASD).’
The Autism Resource Provisions (ARP) on both sites provides 10 places for children with a diagnosis of Autism and an Education, Health Care Plan (EHCP).
All staff and governors at both Schools recognise that every child is entitled to an education that enables them to make progress so that they:
- achieve their best
- become confident individuals living fulfilling lives, and
- make a successful transition into adulthood, whether into employment, further or higher education or training
On 9th June at 10:30 we will be holding a professional meeting to introduce the new ASD units.
