World Book Day 2015
We had such an amazing day on Friday 6th March 2015 when we celebrated World Book Day. The children had so much fun learning about books and the importance of reading. The day started with an assembly with Mrs Threlkeld all about World Book Day. As the children had all come to school dressed as a character from a book we were able to look at and discuss their characters helping the children to delve into books they hadn't read before.
We finished our assembly with a song called 'got to keep reading' based on the Black Eyed Peas song, the children had great fun singing this.
Children can access the link to the song with the lyrics at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psby0mI6ZLY
Our own version of this song performed in assembly is available for you to look at below.
The children took home a £1 book token that they can exchange for a book from a wide selection in their local booksellers by 29th March, have a look on WORLDBOOKDAY.COM for information on the books available
