  1. Our Curriculum
  2. Our Physical Education

Our vision at Grange Valley is to inspire and motivate children to have a love for P.E now, and throughout their life.Children will be able to experience a wide range of inclusive activities to allow them to explore and develop a range of knowledge and skills including creativity, problem solving, resilience and optimum performance.

By offering high quality P.E opportunities we can develop children’s skills, alongside enhancing them as a person.

My name is Mr Ashton and I am the Physical Education subject lead at Grange Valley Primary school. Firstly, I am passionate about P.E as since an early age sport has always been my passion. This has involved playing different sports, then leading into coaching different sports as a young adult to all ages. As well as this I believe that P.E should involve cognitive challenges as well as personal development and skill challenges.

If all these areas are covered then this will help a child physically, emotionally and socially. It will also mean traits such as resilience, teamwork and self-belief will develop to help children with challenges that they come across in their life.

We value the children’s input to continuing to refine our curriculum ensuring it meet the needs of every Grange Valley child. The aim of mini leaders is to enhance children’s personal development skill whilst making a positive difference to our school. Teams will meet at least once every half term.
