Grange Valley ECO Team

The Eco Team organised our new school shed and greenhouse with some gardening tools and equipment. They are brilliant at weeding and clearing and collecting leaves around the garden area. Ethan and Molly  did a fantastic job clearing some litter! Gardening Club runs at lunchtimes. Children will are responsible for weeding the planting beds, clearing rubbish and looking after our growing garden! Any children who would like to be involved at lunchtime are encouraged to help out and make our school and playground a lovely place to be! Children from all classes should look out for the Eco Team at lunchtime if you would like to help out- everybody welcome!

Gardening Club

The Gardening Club have been busy weeding the planting beds that we have on our playground ready for some new plants. Each class will have their own planter on the playground to look after and use to enhance their learning. The children in the Eco Team and Gardening Club have been really enthusiastic about watering and caring for our new plants in the garden area, we have many willing volunteers each day who are eager to water and care for the new plants and herbs! We are eagerly awaiting our new shed and greenhouse.

Many thanks go to Miss Sheffield who helped the Gardening Club to gain lots of plants, herbs and equipment and to Andrew, Mrs Steele's son, who very kindly gave up his time to set up some canes in the planting beds to help our plants to grow. Thank you to parents who have provided us with plants and lots of gardening wisdom! :-) We are very grateful!

Well done Grange Valley. Keep it up!

We have lots of plans for our new garden area, including planting lots of varieties of vegetables that we can hopefully eat! We will soon have a new shed to store our gardening tools and a greenhouse! Thank you to parents who donated plants and gardening tools. We are extremely grateful!

We planted lots of herbs including coriander, basil, thyme and chives on Thursday. The children are really excited about looking after the garden area and developing the areas around school.

We will continue our planting next week! Keep checking our page for more photographs and updates.
